For leadership teams

When the strategy is right but execution drifts.

You don’t have a strategy problem. You have an execution problem: decisions that stall, accountability that’s uneven, a leadership bench that’s thinner than it should be. Azimut builds the behaviors that turn your decisions into follow-through.

When strategy is clear but execution drifts, the problem isn’t strategic; it’s a behavioral architecture gap: ambiguity persists, ownership diffuses, hard conversations get avoided. It is fixed by building capability in the manager layer, not by adding another strategy session.

Does this sound familiar?

The direction is clear. Three weeks later, it has drifted.

You set a clear direction, and three weeks later it’s drifted. Decisions get re-litigated. Everything important escalates back to you. Your best managers are good operators but inconsistent leaders.

Across 600+ programs and 20,000+ participants, we see the same root pattern in growing organizations: ambiguity persists, ownership diffuses, hard conversations get avoided. The information to fix it already exists inside your team. The architecture to convert it into behavior doesn’t.

What changes

Four conditions that determine whether execution holds.

Azimut builds capability across the four Capability OS domains. Gallup attributes roughly 70% of the variance in team engagement to managers, so we build the manager layer, not just the top.

  • Clarity: decisions and priorities land
  • Accountability: commitments become visible follow-through
  • Dialogue: the team surfaces risk instead of going quiet
  • Learning: the organization adapts instead of repeating mistakes

When the problem is structural

Sometimes it isn’t the behavior; it’s the decision system.

Unclear authority, tangled decision rights, accountability with no home. That’s structural, and it’s the domain of Leadership Architecture, the sister methodology founded by Szilárd Kacsó. Azimut is its first certified delivery partner, so we can diagnose which layer you’re actually dealing with and activate the fix end to end.

Frequently asked questions

Most leadership training ends at the workshop. We design for what happens after it: manager reinforcement, AI-supported practice, and measurement of behavior change over weeks. The differentiator isn’t the content; it’s the architecture that makes it transfer.

Behavior change against business-relevant signals you choose (decision speed, accountability follow-through, escalation volume), not satisfaction scores. We baseline at the start and review against it.

Both, and the connection between them. Capability is contagious through a hierarchy in both directions, so we usually work a leadership layer and the managers it depends on together.

Run this test: ask five people on your leadership team, separately, to write down the quarter’s top three priorities. If the lists differ, the gap is clarity. If the lists match and nothing has moved three weeks later, the gap is execution: commitments nobody tracks, decisions reopened, conversations postponed. A strategy can be rewritten over a weekend. Execution is built behavior in the manager layer, and it takes longer than that.

Three things: sponsor the program rather than approve it, make decision rights explicit so managers have something concrete to hold each other to, and show in their own meetings the behavior the cohort is being asked for: commitments tracked, disagreement said out loud. That is what the Executive Capability Journey builds, delivered together with Leadership Architecture: executives as sponsors of the system, not just beneficiaries.

Then the work happens at that level, not below it. The Capability Diagnostic measures the 12 behavioral clusters audience by audience, so it shows whether the gap sits at the top or in the manager layer. If it is behavioral (commitments untracked, dissent unsaid), the route is the Executive Capability Journey. If it is structural (unclear authority, tangled decision rights), it is Leadership Architecture. The diagnostic settles which, before you buy anything.

Yes, that is what the fixed spine is for. The domains, the 12 clusters and the rubrics stay identical wherever you run them, so results from each country compare directly, in the same units. Labs run as per-site cohorts or as mixed ones, and multi-country cohorts are delivered in English. You get a read for each location and an aggregated one for the group. Azimut delivers across Romania and internationally.
